We established, and continue to be the sole financier for, The School Nurses’ Discretionary Fund. This fund allows the nurses to assist children in need with “minor” medical problems that might otherwise cause their families economic hardship. Worse yet, these medical problems could go completely untreated. We strongly believe the school nurses know who fall between the cracks and this fund allows those needs to be addressed.
